Pallette of Wildflowers

Mixture of Old & New
Nearly a half century has passed since farmers planted flower gardens in the Cuyahoga Valley. Yet some of their flowers occasionally appear among the fields of wildflowers in the National Park. Almost hidden and struggling for space in this photograph of wild, black-eyed Susan and Queen Anne’s lace are a few tiny, red, and purple flowers popular with farmers’ wives in the 1950s.
